This powerful message from Mahesh Chavda is worth reading. We need unity, to be in God's house and to use the weapons He has made available for us

House of the Lord: Weapons In the Sanctuary

“So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.” Psalm 63:2
The whole earth is groaning for the revelation of the sons of God. We are in the end-times, and we will face end-time battles. One of the keys as we enter this season is that the weapons for these battles are in the House of the Lord.
The House of the Lord
A good picture of the times we are in can be found in 2 Kings 11. Athaliah, the daughter of Jezebel and Ahab, decides to kill all the heirs to Judah's throne so she can hold onto the throne of Judah. One royal heir, Joash, is hidden away in the House of the Lord and spared. For six years during Athaliah's wicked reign, the priests of the God secretly protected, nurtured, trained, and groomed him to be king.
“May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you; may He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion.” Psalm 20:1-2
This is important for us today. We all need to stay in the House of the Lord. None of us lives unto ourselves alone. We must be together in battle, and continually encouraged, trained, and nurtured in the context of God's House. "It's me and Jesus" has never been God's plan. The Bible uses the word "together" 484 times:
• "...let us exalt His name together."
• "Gather My saints together unto Me..."
• "We took sweet counsel together..."
• "Break forth into joy, sing together..."
• "And all that believed were together..."
• "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together..."
• "For we are labourers together with God..."
• "Wherefore, comfort yourselves together..."
• "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together..."
• "[God] hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places..."
Learn to live together as anointed servants of God. Then we'll be sitting in heavenly places. If you're not sitting together here, you're not going to be sitting together in heavenly places over there. We are God's legislative Body, the Ekklessia Jesus spoke of in Matthew 16:18, binding and loosing together to amen God's will in Heaven on earth.
The House of the Lord is also God's place of protection and strength for our children. The atmosphere, the pressures, the spiritual forces are not only on us, but in some ways even more so on our children. Our secular schools have an agenda to wipe out any vestige of our Judeo-Christian ways from our culture by targeting our children. Our children are taught from Kindergarten onward that evil is good and good is evil, and that any lifestyle and ideology except those of the Bible are acceptable. It is imperative that we bring our children to the House of the Lord to be nurtured, protected, and trained to be kings and priests in their generation. When we instill our values, culture, and faith in our children in their youth, though they may temporarily depart from the House of the Lord, the House of the Lord will not depart from them. They are marked by the Lord, shaped by His presence, and they will come back to His House.
In the seventh year Jehoiada sent and brought the captains of hundreds – of the bodyguards and the escorts – and brought them into the house of the Lord to him. And he made a covenant with them and took an oath from them in the house of the Lord, and showed them the king's son. Then he commanded them, saying, "This is what you shall do: one-third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath shall be keeping watch over the king's house, one-third shall be at the gate of Sur, and one-third at the gate behind the escorts. You shall keep the watch of the house, lest it be broken down." 2 Kings 11:4-6
It was in the House of the Lord that the king is revealed. And the keepers of the watch, the watchmen, were those who guarded the king. The same spirit that tried to kill Joash is the spirit that is out to assassinate our children. It is the same spirit that is trying to usurp the legitimate heirs of America and put in place another kingdom with different values and ideologies. We must take our place as watchmen kings and priests before the Lord to defend and protect our inheritance for the sake of our children and children's children.
“Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. The Lord who made Heaven and earth bless you from Zion!” Psalm 134
Watch and Pray
One of the primary weapons of God's end-time army is the power of the Watch. Jesus told His disciples what to expect in our day, and He also told them what to do: "Watch and pray." He is calling each of us to corporate prayer, praise, and intercession. In the Watch, we get His strategies and His intelligence for the battles we wage. We pray in harmony with Heaven to exercise the spiritual authority He has given His Church. Prayer is where everything begins and ends in the realm of the Spirit. It is here that everything is accomplished.
“And to the captains over hundreds did the priest give king David's spears and shields, that were in the Temple of the Lord.” 2 Kings 11:10
The watchmen were given the weapons that King David had made during his reign, and that Solomon placed in the Temple at the dedication. At that dedication service, the glory filled the Temple so that the priests were not able to minister so thick was the glory. Generations later, the weapons in the sanctuary dedicated to the purposes of God and His Kingdom were given to the captain and the guard to usher in the king to his kingdom.
In our battles today, we can try to use our own weapons on our own. But to pull down strongholds of witchcraft, antichrist, and powers and principalities that are assaulting our nation and attacking our children, we need to come to the House of the Lord for the dedicated weapons. The House of the Lord is the Church of Jesus Christ, the local Body where the glory dwells, and God's people pray, worship, and wage spiritual warfare.
The corporate anointing when we come together is like the dedicated weapons that Jehoiada gave to the temple guard. They used those dedicated weapons of David to slay Athaliah and all of her demonic followers. If you are a lone ranger, come to the House of the Lord and get the anointed, dedicated weapons that will be able to slay, because we have an enemy that's energized by demonic, supernatural spirits. You are going to be equipped, you're going to be anointed, you're going to be nurtured, and you are going to be victorious. Not only you, but your children and your grandchildren.
When I thought how to understand this, it was too painful for me – until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end... Psalm 73:16-19
The Church's destiny is to overcome. Jesus promised, "I will build My Church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it." We may have imperfections right now, but God's promise is that as darkness gets darker, we will arise and shine with His glory. We will be equipped with the weapons of His sanctuary, and be a bright and shining light in the nations. The victorious army of the King that goes forth conquering and to conquer until the kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Mum, Am I Fireman Yet

I will be in Calgary, Alberta, next week and would love to meet
Fireman Bob.

Am I a Fireman yet?

In Calgary, Alberta, a 26-year-old mother stared down at her
6 year old son, who was dying of terminal leukemia.

Although her heart was filled with sadness, she also had a
strong feeling of determination. Like any parent, she wanted her
son to grow up & fulfill all his dreams. Now that was no longer
possible….the leukemia would see to that. But she still wanted
her son's dream to come true.

She took her son' s hand and asked, 'Billy, did you ever think about what you wanted to be once you grew up? Did you ever dream and wish what you would do with your life?'

Mommy, 'I always wanted to be a fireman when I grew up.'

Mom smiled back and said, 'Let's see if we can make your wish come true.'

Later that day she went to her local fire department in Calgary, where she met Fireman Bob, who had a heart as big as Alberta. She explained her son's final wish and asked if it might be possible to give her 6 year-old son a ride around the block on a fire engine.

Fireman Bob said, 'Look, we can do better than that. If you'll have your son ready at seven o'clock Wednesday morning, we'll make him an honorary Fireman for the whole day. He can come down to the fire station, eat with us, go out on all the fire calls, the whole nine yards! And if you'll give us his sizes, we'll get a real fire uniform for him, with a real fire hat - not a toy - one-with the emblem of the Calgary Fire Department on it, and a yellow slicker like we wear and rubber boots.' 'They're all manufactured right here in Calgary, so we can get them fast.'

Three days later Fireman Bob picked up Billy, dressed him in his uniform and escorted him from his hospital bed to the waiting hook and ladder truck. Billy got to sit on the back of the truck and help steer it back to the fire station. He was in heaven. There were three fire calls in Calgary that day and Billy got to go out on all three calls. He rode in the different fire engines, The Paramedic's' van, and even the fire chief's car. He was also videotaped for the local news program.

Having his dream come true, with all the love and attention that was lavished upon him, so deeply touched Billy, that he lived three months longer than any doctor thought possible.

One night all of his vital signs began to drop dramatically and the head nurse, who believed in the hospice concept - that no one should die alone, began to call the family members to the hospital….then she remembered the day Billy had spent as a fireman, so she called the Fire Chief and asked if it would be possible to send a fireman in uniform to the hospital to be with Billy as he made his transition.

The chief replied, 'We can do better than that. We'll be there in five minutes…. will you please do me a favor? When you hear the sirens screaming and see the lights flashing, will you announce over the PA system that there is not a fire?'

'It's the department coming to see one of its finest members one more time. And will you open the window to his room?'

About five minutes later a hook and ladder truck arrived at the hospital and extended its ladder up to Billy's third floor open window--------16 fire-fighters climbed up the ladder into Billy's room

With his mother's permission, they hugged him and held him and told him how much they LOVED him. With His dying breath, Billy looked up at the fire chief and said, 'Chief, am I really a fireman now?'

'Billy, you are, and the Head Chief, Jesus, is holding your hand,' the chief said

With those words, Billy smiled and said, 'I know, He's been holding my hand all day, and the angels have been singing..' He closed his eyes one last time.

This is a true story

Embracing the Fight of Faith

I enjoy reading Francis Frangipane and this word has especially blessed me today. I love the emphasis on God's Word and faith. Be blessed, uplifted and strengthened.

Embracing the Fight of Faith

In spite of worldwide conflicts, the Holy Spirit is guiding the true Church into her greatest season of transformation. We must not look at the pressures of our times as though they were obstacles set to restrict us. For in the hands of the Almighty, these are the very tools He is using to perfect us.
One of the problems of interpreting end-time events is the tendency to focus upon only one set of conditions. If we look only at the fact that satan is raging or that lawlessness, wars, earthquakes and famines are escalating, we might conclude that difficulty and darkness are all that we have awaiting us until the Rapture. And, as I mentioned, many people have been taught that life will only grow more evil until Christ returns.
But the same Spirit that predicted the perilous conditions at the end of the age also forecasts that, in spite of difficulties and battle, the Gospel of Christ's love will be proclaimed worldwide to all nations (see Matthew 24:14). The Lord also said that the "crop" of last-days Christians will reach full stature (see Mark 4:28-29), and that those who know their God will be strong, do exploits, shine like the stars and lead multitudes to righteousness (see Daniel 11:32; 12:3).
In every age God requires that we walk as overcomers. Our call is to pray, to stand in spiritual warfare, to intercede for our leaders and soldiers and not to surrender our vision of a world in revival, regardless of whatever temporary setbacks we may face. The very fact that some distant nations are experiencing renewal and great harvests in recent years (Uganda and Fiji, for instance) reminds us that there is still time for our own nations. Our focus must remain riveted upon becoming like Christ in all things.
We might feel overwhelmed by the flood of evil storming against our societies, yet the promise of God is that, when the enemy comes in like a flood, He shall raise a standard against him (see Isaiah 59:19, KJV).
So we must ask ourselves, is our focus upon the enemy's flood? Or are we aware of the standard God is raising up to counter the onslaught of evil? Do not forget, beloved, that even when darkness covers the earth and deep darkness the peoples, the promise of God is that His glory shall rise upon us and His presence shall be visibly seen through us! In spite of the appearance that darkness is never ending, the Lord promises that, at the end of the war between light and darkness, "nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising" (see Isaiah 60:1-3). Indeed, God's Word reveals that nestled and unfolding in the panorama of end-time events will also be an ongoing "period of restoration" (see Acts 3:20-21).
This does not mean that the world will be subdued by the Church (as some erroneously teach), but that the true Church itself will be glorious, subdued and transformed by Christ! This final display of grace will be consummated in a Christlike Church, whose spiritual maturity shall manifest on earth the person and passions of Jesus Christ Himself.
Our fight is the fight of faith: Do we believe what God has promised? Our war is against principalities and powers: Do we believe the report that Christ shall "sprinkle [that is, cleanse, and bring forgiveness and transformation to] many nations" (Isaiah 52:15)?
I, for one, believe the promises of God. His Word is not just a comfort to me in times of trouble but a sword that I wield in times of spiritual war. His faithful Word is what I proclaim over my family, my church, my city and nation! Consider His proclamation: "So will My Word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it" (Isaiah 55:11). No matter how the battle rages, God's Word shall not return to Him void.
Consider also His commitment: "I am watching over My Word to perform it" (Jeremiah 1:12).
And His accessibility: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into Heaven?' (that is, to bring Christ down), or 'Who will descend into the abyss?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? 'The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart' – that is, the Word of faith which we are preaching" (Romans 10:6-8).
We are not mere mortals stumbling blindly on earth, separated from God and isolated from His response to our needs. No! We are new creatures, born again from above, and resident within us is the Holy Spirit of Almighty God.
Yes, we labor and intercede; we repent for our sins and the sins of our nations. But the weight of our victory rests not upon how much we labor and groan, but upon how sincerely we believe what God has promised. The Lord does not want us worrying about the future; He wants us to create it through the knowledge of His will, through the proclamation of His Word – which is the "sword of the Spirit" (Ephesians 6:17) – and through our yieldedness to the power of the Holy Spirit. And then He promises, "Whoever believes in [Me] will not be disappointed" (Romans 10:11).
Beloved, the sword God has put in our hearts and mouths is nothing less than the echo of His voice in us! So, let's not whine about negative conditions in the world or sigh prayers muttered in fear and unbelief. Let's embrace the fight of faith! May Christ's love for mankind be our compelling motivation! Pick up your Bible and speak audibly the promises of God's Word. Pick any verse quoted above and speak it out loud, with faith and authority. I guarantee that if you proclaim God's Word with faith, it will release power in and through your spirit. No power can quench the promises God has inspired in His Book.
He assures us, "All things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23). Let's break the bondage of a passive spirit. Let's take up the sword of the Spirit and embrace the fight of faith!
Lord, I repent of self-pity and fear. Train my hands for war! Teach me to stand and fight back on behalf of Your righteous cause. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Fifth Column - the Danger Within

I am sharing something very different this week. It has been brought to my attention by a friend in Singapore and I think it is so important that these facts are known so that we can be both aware and pray into a very dangerous and difficult situation. If only such a statement could be openly shared in the UK and not hushed up.

This column was written by Patrick Basham.

The recent homegrown plot in Britain to blow up transatlantic flights will intensify the fear that the country's 1.6 million Muslims are rejecting political tolerance and free speech for a violent, radicalized version of Islam. There is a real concern that British Muslims do pose a threat to that country and its traditional values. So how prevalent are such radical views among British Muslims?

Some answers are provided by the most comprehensive survey to date of Muslim opinion in Britain. The results from NOP Research, broadcast by Channel 4-TV on August 7, are startling.

Forty-five percent say 9/11 was a conspiracy by the American and Israeli governments. This figure is more than twice as high as those who say it was not a conspiracy. Tragically, almost one in four British Muslims believe that last year's 7/7 attacks on London were justified because of British support for the U.S.-led war on terror.

When asked, "Is Britain my country or their country?" only one in four say it is. Thirty percent of British Muslims would prefer to live under Sharia (Islamic religious) law than under British law. According to the report, "Half of those who express a preference for living under Sharia law say that, given the choice, they would move to a country governed by those laws."

Twenty-eight percent hope for the U.K. one day to become a fundamentalist Islamic state. This comports with last year's Daily Telegraph newspaper survey that found one-third of British Muslims believe that Western society is decadent and immoral and that Muslims should seek to end it.

The news is no less alarming on the question of freedom of speech. Seventy-eight percent support punishment for the people who earlier this year published cartoons featuring the Prophet Mohammed. Sixty-eight percent support the arrest and prosecution of those British people who "insult Islam." When asked if free speech should be protected, even if it offends religious groups, 62 percent of British Muslims say No, it should not.

Also concerning freedom of speech, as the NOP Research survey reports, "hardcore Islamists" constitute nine percent of the British Muslim population. A slightly more moderate group is composed of "staunch defenders of Islam." This second group comprises 29 percent of the British Muslim population. Individuals in this group aggressively defend their religion from internal and external threats, real or imagined.

The scary reality is that only three percent of British Muslims "took a consistently pro-freedom of speech line on these questions." The Muslim threat to British security is so severe that the assistant London police commissioner, Tarique Ghaffur, has called for an inquiry into the radicalization of young Muslims. Ghaffur sadly describes "a generation of angry young people vulnerable to exploitation."

Before the London bombings, British intelligence services estimated that one percent of British Muslims either support or are involved in terrorism. While this is mainly a peaceful and productive immigrant population, a significant number are prepared to act against their own country.

The British government believes that, in recent years, 3,000 British Muslims have returned home from al Qaeda training camps. Intelligence experts estimate that 1,200 Muslim radicals (80 percent of Pakistani origin) are currently pursuing a terrorist rather than a democratic option to vent their disgust at Tony Blair's support for America's invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq and opposition to Hezbollah.

This terrorist weed that is choking the U.K. is especially hard to eradicate because it is growing in British soil. America's fastest-growing religion is Islam, but here in the States the numbers are not a security concern, as a commitment to Islam has not overwhelmed a strong attachment to America itself — another victory for the cultural melting pot.

By contrast, the U.K. embraced taxpayer-subsidized multiculturalism and has paid a very dear price, indeed. The result — cultural apartheid — has encouraged a significant number of Muslims to exhibit more loyalty to fellow Muslims outside of the U.K. than to their fellow Britons.
